You have probably heard about my husband landing his dream job recently.
It might not sound like a big deal but this is no ordinary job.
And this is no ordinarily manifestation process.
He had a 0.3% chance of getting in and into a position in Brisbane.
He is now in a job that rarely becomes available.
And they are looking for a very unique combination of qualifications, personality, background and proven skills.
He has been offered exactly what we have been manifesting.
Turns out, those with his work and training background didn’t test very well. Very few made it past the early rounds of testing.
He was told the fact he got in was a real credit to him.
So how did we do it?
I want to share with you a key step that I feel many people miss in the art of manifesting.
A step, that when understood can open the doorway to your dreams.
Manifesting his dream job started early this year.
We didn’t instigate this first step.
It happened unexpectedly.
It started back in February when I heard about an accident on the radio.
Being in aviation and it being such a small industry, when there is an accident my first thought is always “I hope hubby doesn’t know them”.
He has been in the industry for almost 30 years and has worked all around Australia and overseas. When there is an accident, he usually knows them.
He’s lost a few mates over the years and a few really good mates.
When he was working in PNG I got a whole stack of texts one day from friends, his and mine, asking if he was ok. There had been an accident and an Australian engineer, about the same age as my husband, had been killed. I didn’t know about it but others heard. My husband was working in PNG at the time and our network wanted to make sure he wasn’t involved.
Now what was really interesting about hearing about the February accident was that my first thought wasn’t if he knew them. It was something else altogether.
The report of the accident stated that four investigators were being sent and one was from the local office.
My first thought was “I wonder if hubby will come home, get his grab bag and be the one going”
I didn’t think it.
It just came up.
Now at this point my husband was a Chief Engineer, not an investigator.
He didn’t work there.
There were no jobs going there.
In fact he had nothing to do with it.
Yet my first thought was wondering if he was the investigator from the local office going.
I shook my head and dismissed it initially.
Now some people might dismiss that thought as fantasy or daydreaming.
Logically, we had been talking about it since we met 15 years ago and two years strongly. It was on our vision board.
So the chances were, it was on my mind.
But the way it came up in my mind and body was real – “was it hubby going?”
And this is where people miss this powerful little gem.
That thought I had wasn’t from me. It came up effortlessly.
Without any force.
Where you feel it, as if it is real.
There was nothing deliberate about it.
It felt real, like the question was a real question I should be asking myself.
And I dismissed it straight away by thinking immediately after it, “no he is a chief engineer!”
It was a crazy silly thought.
What I have come to realize is that, in those moments, when a little crazy thought happens within you, one where you don’t force it, you don’t think it, you don’t project … it just pops up effortlessly is the biggest key to manifesting and one of the biggest doorways to stepping into your dreams that is too quickly missed, dismissed and forgotten about.
It wasn’t until August that these positions opened up.
It wasn’t until December that he was offered the job and only after several rounds of testing.
Every single time I doubted that he might get this job, I took myself back to that moment.
Because that moment didn’t come from me.
It was almost like it was a snippet from a future experience being brought back to me.
A glimpse into the future.
Because from now on, when I hear of an incident, I will be wondering if it is him who will be going home and getting his grab bag to head to the incident.
We have these thoughts all the time.
We have these glimpses into the future yet we are dismissing them.
And most of the time, they don’t occur when we are sitting down manifesting or planning out our next year.
This happens unexpectedly, like when you are driving your car, taking the dog for a walk, cooking dinner or exercising.
I have come to really believe that the way these thoughts show up is the Universe tapping us on the shoulder and letting us know it is time, if we are wanting it and if we listen.
It’s not the first time I have had this experience.
I remember when my husband had cancer. In those first few weeks we didn’t know if he was going to live or die.
They had narrowed it down to three cancers and one didn’t have a very good prognosis at all.
I was on the phone to his sister and she was worried. I told her he would be fine. He would be ok.
She asked me how I knew.
I couldn’t explain it. I just knew.
I felt it; I heard the words, just like I did with my husband’s job.
There have been others too.
But this time round, I was clued in and became aware of that moment.
What I have also come to understand is that it is easier to see this for others then yourself.
I could hold the space for my husband to heal from cancer and to get his dream job, but it isn’t so easy for myself.
It’s much easier to doubt myself.
It’s much easier to give up on myself than my husband.
So in October, I had the same experience. I was in the kitchen that that little voice and feeling washed over me with 3 little words – “2018 $100,000+ year”
It caught my attention.
I have never had a 6-figure year.
It’s every entrepreneur’s dream, to get that first 6-figure year.
And here it was being whispered in my ears.
And in 2018 it will happen.
If it hadn’t been for my husband manifesting his dream job, I never would have paid too much attention to this thought.
So listen to that voice, the one that brings you glimpses of the future.
That voice that pops up unexpectedly, without any warning.
It’s a doorway into your dreams.
It is a gift from above.
Never forget those words being said to you.
When things get difficult, come back to those words.
This was the first step.
In 2018 I am planning at putting together some form of course or program to teach others how we did this.
This isn’t the first time we have manifested a miracle out of nowhere.
And there is nothing special about us.
Everyone can do this.
If you are interested, please let me know as I have had a lot of people interested and I am putting together a list of those to let know about this course.
