I’ve come to really understand there is an ingredient missing in many psychic, intuitive and healing course being offered today.
There is something amiss despite the facilitators being clearly gifted healers, intuits and psychics often with thriving businesses.
This awareness started when I just couldn’t complete a course I was doing.
I just wasn’t feeling it.
Something was amiss.
Have you felt it too?
Being lectured to and given scripts and meditations isn’t cutting it when it comes to a psychic course.
Clients and colleagues were sharing how they left courses or didn’t complete programs because of similar reasons.
These are women I trust, with years of spiritual development.
I wanted to understand the missing link as I step into the space from 1:1 healing to facilitator and teacher of this modality.
Then I figured it out.
It is lack of embodiment.
The feeling where the work moves from being all cerebral and thought about to embedded into the body.
Being able to feel the work and respond rather than follow the bouncy ball on the script.
There is the student embodiment missing from many courses and group programs.
To simply say to a student look at that picture and hold that item, now what do you feel or see just doesn’t create embodiment.
Being lectured to on quantum physics and cellular healing or given a script doesn’t allow the embodiment of the work to happen.
Listening to a guided visualization or meditation doesn’t create embodiment of the modality.
Filming a lecture, creating a Facebook group and offering teletutes or live calls to answer questions is not creating embodiment.
It’s actually creating disconnect and low completion rates.
It’s adding to the overwhelm and confusion in the lives of entrepreneurial women.
Psychic and intuitive courses are unique.
As a teacher of psychic and intuitive work I am asking my clients to suspend reality and step into a place where they trust their impulses and instincts and go with it.
It’s a skill that just isn’t taught to us in any shape or form in our world.
It requires practice, patience and the willingness to receive the information.
It has to be developed and it is not developed by asking someone to look at a photo, tune in and share their intuition.
It requires the teacher to reverse engineer not just the steps they take, but the internal processes that goes on for them to achieve the psychic accuracy when they are teaching others.
This requires a unique teaching skill.
One that is missed when spiritual teachers work with someone to develop their course.
Everything but the importance of this process is encouraged.
So how do you know if your course or program is missing embodiment.
1) It Is Too Cerebral Knowledge Based Focus
Yes, you do need to have conscious knowledge to understand.
The logical understanding of the way things work is important.
Your brain and conscious mind needs to get it, compartmentalize it and filter it through your experiences.
Then it needs to let it go.
There needs to be a practice that allows you to let it go, absorb it in your body and trust that when you need the information, it will arise.
Otherwise too much energy is focused on trying to remember and all the energy remains around the mind and nowhere else.
If you get to the end of a video lecture and your brain is in overload, then it is too cerebral.
Your body hasn’t been invited to absorb it.
If you are given a script and told to read it word for word with a practice buddy, then it’s too cerebral.
At some stage, you need to be invited to let go of the script and trust your body will know.
2) “I don’t know if I did it right”
I was on a teletute for the course I didn’t finish.
I only did the first teletute and it was enough for me to realize that each week that particular hour would be better invested elsewhere.
There were dozens of people who put their hand up with the response, “I don’t know if I did it right”.
A sure sign of not being embodied.
There is too much thinking involved.
Belief hasn’t been suspended.
Because when it is embodied there is no right and wrong.
You can’t do it “wrong” when it is embodied.
The specific words or phrases don’t actual matter.
It’s the connection and flow that are important.
I have become so aware of this because I recognised it was a missing link for me.
In fact, now when I look back at the really early days, I cringe.
And I still don’t always get it right today either.
It is something I am bringing into my work more and more.
And I am so committed to my programs that I won’t be releasing them until the embodiment practices and processes have been nailed.
Without it, my Ancestral Group Program and Ancestral Practitioner Training will be just another course that you “do” and that is not what I am wanting.
Next week I’m going to share with you what to do if your course isn’t allowing you to embody the work.
