Hello and welcome
I’m Helena Ryan and I’m so glad you have found your way here.
Congratulations on taking the first step to identifying whether this block is from your ancestral lineage.
It’s often an area that is overlooked in healing which is why it can hide away in plain sight causing challenges.
Family patterns can be tricky to identify because they are so heavily ingrained in us, which is why it is so important to identify them.
I share an example below on how family patterns can play out, right under our nose!
But before I teach you the tool I want to share with you some clues you might pick up on that identify whether or not it is coming from your family line:
- Have a look at your family and your family history.
- Do other family members have a similar pattern playing out?
- Does your mother, father or siblings have a similar block?
- Do similar issues pop up for them?
If you can’t see it in your family, that is ok. They aren’t exactly shared or talked about over the dinner table and you do need to look beyond the mask, beyond the behaviour because patterns play out in family members differently.
- You just can’t shake it
The most common phrase I here clients say is “I just can’t shake this feeling” and that was exactly how I felt.
No matter what you do, or what you have done, you just can’t seem to shake the feeling of it.
It can sometimes feel like you are doomed and cursed with this challenge or block for the rest of your life.
So if it is something you can’t shake and you have done extensive work on clearing it, chances are, it might not be yours but it’s coming from your bloodline.
- Strong emotions that don’t match the physical
Ever had something happen and your emotional response was really high?
I know we all have and I’m talking about the same “something” happening and the same strong emotional response occurring a number of times.
Let me explain.
I use to want to hide my work and my business.
I never wanted to be seen publically.
Makes building a business kind of hard hey?
I was so afraid of negative feedback that anytime I received some form of comment that pertained to my work or me that was negative, I’d crumble.
Then one day, someone I really trusted, a fellow healer who I had worked with who had time and time again told me how much she loved my work and what I’d done with her, trashed ancestral clearing online.
Not a big deal. Everyone has the right to his or her opinion.
For me it was a big deal. I was upset for over a week.
I nearly quit.
That’s when I tuned into my family.
My grandfather was a Nazi soldier during WW2 and he happened to be a guard commander at Auschwitz.
Shame riddled my family line through my German side.
The moment something happened I was hit with a wave of embarrassment and shame in who I was.
So no wonder I wanted to hide, no wonder that when something happened, I would be so embarrassed whereas others might respond very differently.
Family patterns create BIG responses.
Write down the block or challenge you have that brought you here.
This allows you to set intention around it.
So, here it is, how to identify if your block or challenge is coming through your family line:
Now you know if your block or challenge is one coming through your Ancestral Lineage.

One day while on a course, she was told to go home and forgive her ancestors, so imagine her surprise when they all turned up and she just knew information about them.
She sat down, drew an Ancestral Map, and spent the day writing. That was the day Ancestral Clearing was developed, only she didn’t know it then.
It was the coming together of all of her modalities and in 2018 she intends on holding the first Ancestral Clearing Practitioner Training so others can access how to do this work for themselves and their client base.
